Almost 2 years

Hello hello! Hope all is well with everyone. David and I are having a grand time down here in Florida. He is finally really relaxing and looks much better. While I'm at work all day he is sleeping in, reading and playing with the computer and his phone. He has figured out a way of getting me the internet through the phone onto the computer which is awesome! Plus it works pretty quickly which is fabulous! Also it has been fun because for some reason David has decided that he would really like to learn how to cook (still obsessing with yummy sauces so if anyone has good recipes please send). So far this week he has learned how to cook pasta, sauté mushrooms, sauté fish (Tilapia), and make salad with homemade vinegrette. Starting off slow, but making good progress.

Last evening we celebrated our 2 year anniversary early as we are pretty sure we won't be able to get together for the exact day. We both looked super cute/handsome! And I got to wear my new earrings that I love!!! So our cute selves went to Ruth's Chris Steak House, where my co-workers had so kindly given us a gift certificate. It was soooooooooooooooooo delicious and the service was phenominal! Plus they have a great summer deal for two people which includes appetizers for both, entreés for both, shared sides (veggies) and shared dessert. Our meals were just superb! There was one appetizer we both wanted to try that wasn't an option so we splurged, mushroom caps stuffed with crabmeat. YUM! But, back to the options we picked from the 'Summer Celebrations' menu :). We both started off with the best Ceasar salad. Then for our main dish I had the petit filet and David had the Mixed grill which constisted of a 4oz filet, chicken stuffed with the yummiest cheese concoction and a crab cake. Both sooooo yummy! Plus the meat is cooked in a special broiler that goes up to 1800 degrees and then is served with butter on top on a 500 degree plate. That sizzle and smell is just divine! Then for our sides we shared the garlic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Both fantastic! We could only eat half of what was given to us so we brought it home. Then for dessert both our waiters strongly suggested the bread pudding so we shared that and WOW! it was just perfect! Plus with David's coffee went down beautifully! By the end of the meal it was 10pm and we were ready to be rolled out. [By now your mouths may be watering and let me tell you if that Summer Celebration deal is going on near you it is soooooooo worth the extra treat to yourself!] On our way home we drove by the beach and there was the most fantastic lighting storm over the ocean. We parked the car by the sea wall and just had a nice time relaxing with the windows open staring at God's amazing creation. Then it was back home where I went straight to sleep and David read (but of course Hunky Dumplin is sleeping way in this morning, lucky duck!)

So that is about it from us. Hopefully the rest of the week will consist of seeing a movie, going to the beach, swimming at the pool, relaxing, more cooking 'lessons', electronic funness on David's part, and just enjoying each others company. Let us know if you will be joining us soon! :)

xoxoxoxo,

Victoria and David
