An update type thinger

Hey all hope all is well.

Just an update. I'm working 7 on 7 off nights.. and really I'm working part of the 7 off too! We are a lil short staffed! Big surpise!

For those of you that don't know I recently adopted this new giant furball. She's an 11 yr old long haired 20 lb cat. Miss Madolyn has settled in and is making herself more comfortable. She even came upstairs to see where I was! Matori, the lil runt of a furball, is still not liking Madolyn but they can at least be in the same room now...

Erm having a slight problem with Madolyn not poo'in in her litter box. :|
Durn cat even poo'ed right beside the box but not in it. Hopefully getting her a bigger box might help, if not I dunno what ta do.

Anybody want an old fluffy kitteh?

Settled into the new appartment. Still have boxes to unpack and stuff to re-organize, but I've got 7 days off right!

Love reading the blog, even if I don't blog all that much.

Loves guys and take care!

I'll get some pics of Madolyn and Matori up sometime.

The Girls

Here is a Pic of Soph before she hurt herself. Oh also one of Chain (Just for you Dave.)

Went to see Marg today and Sophie is just too quiet. She only bites 2 -3 times then she looks in pain. Cali didn't even bite or hass at her. Too sad.I've cried on & off all week end.

The Box!!

Check out the box on Jazzy's ears!! Isn't she adorable?!? Also, she's getting so big, isn't she? She's 11 weeks old as of yesterday. She's going to be a big one.

P.S. Got an email from Ms. Pat. She said yesterday Mr. Tom seemed to really feel like himself and was having some definite improvement. Such great news I had to pass it on!

Mr. Tom needs mega prayers

Hello everyone! I just received an email from M.S. Pat that her husband's, Mr. Tom, recovery is not going very well. The wire in his chest broke so they had to reoperate to close him up and then he has had some touch and go moments. He, and she, are at the hospital now for a few more weeks praying that nothing more goes wrong. So please keep them in all our prayers!

Love to all! xoxo

Her favorite sleeping position...

Just because I love this picture, I thought I'd let everyone know how Jazzy Ro likes to sleep. Here she is on the couch in one of her favorite positions to sleep in. That's one of her toys... actually, two of her toys (if you count CopperWolf in that) next to her. Isn't she the cutest thing?!? :)

Misawa, Japan

An Adventure Ahead

To find out more about this entry
.....
call me

Well,

It looks like I'm PCS'ing (Permanent Change of Station) to Misawa, Japan. My RNLTD (Report No Later Than Date) is May 29, 2009. The news caught me completely off guard since there are quite a few people that have been here a lot longer and are the same rank and skill level (education in your job) as me. Though, I'm not complaining at all. It will be very good for me to get away from Shaw, as its just not a place I want to be for a long time. I'm done. See if you can find waldo.

Tell me what ya'll think!!!

( O_O )
You found Waldo!!!!!!

Crazy Kitty

The crazy kitty we adopted (ok, I adopted) last fall has decided that going after birds in trees is perfectly acceptable behavior. Even when the lowest limb on the tree is 10 ft. off the ground, at least. I was worried CopperWolf would have to get the ladder and get him out of the tree, but he showed up at the front door a couple hours later happy as can be. Check him out. Definitely crazy.

The last of the ears...

Here is the last picture of Jazzy Ro's ears. They were cropped today before lunch. This picture was taken at the unthinkable hour of 3:30 this morning, before CopperWolf and I left to take her to Concord for her surgery. Will post pictures tomorrow of her in her "nurse's cap". I know she'll be adorable....

Prayer request

Remember Nan nan in your prayers. She had a difficult time with the biop. They did 2 sites instead of one and she is sore today but awaiting results that may take 3 days. It doesn't sound good boys and girls,so keep her in your prayers. Dad is being his joyful self. So she has that to deal with also. love to all Merry

Hiya!

Hello everyone! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend and Father's Day!

David and I had a wonderful weekend filled with wonderful rainy weather which 'forced' us to stay in and relax :). Friday night we went out to suishi with some friends, which was yummy! Then Saturday we woke up to a torrential rainstorm so instead of going out for brunch we called Mrs. Harvey got a recipe and had fun making an awesome Harvey breakfast (we were pretty thrilled with our 1st tries at bacon and gravy)! I still need to practice making biscuits, but Davy introduced me to Grands freezer biscuits, which are quite yummy, but that was the only non-authentic part of breakfast. Then we just relaxed and watched a movie. When the rain finally let up we went for a swim in the pool and then got ready to go walk around town. We decided to walk up and down Worth Avenue to window shop and then stopped to get some refreshing drinks at Starbucks. Then it was grocery shopping and back home. For dinner we decided to make a delicious lobster, melted butter, tortelini, and zucchini dinner with a Razzleberry (Raspberry and blackberry) pie = super yum! We had rented another movie so watched that and finally went to bed. 4 hours later we woke up to take David to the Ft. Lauderdale airport where his flight was on time and he made it back to Shaw AFB safe and sound. Then for me I went home and slept the rest of the morning :).

So that is about it from us! Hope all is well and that maybe some of you can come down and visit too :) xoxoxo

ps: pictures are of our awesome breakfast and then the two other plates are from our dinner: melon and prociuto appetizer and then lobster, zucchini, tortelini entreé. Plus the two chefs :)

Almost 2 years

Hello hello! Hope all is well with everyone. David and I are having a grand time down here in Florida. He is finally really relaxing and looks much better. While I'm at work all day he is sleeping in, reading and playing with the computer and his phone. He has figured out a way of getting me the internet through the phone onto the computer which is awesome! Plus it works pretty quickly which is fabulous! Also it has been fun because for some reason David has decided that he would really like to learn how to cook (still obsessing with yummy sauces so if anyone has good recipes please send). So far this week he has learned how to cook pasta, sauté mushrooms, sauté fish (Tilapia), and make salad with homemade vinegrette. Starting off slow, but making good progress.

Last evening we celebrated our 2 year anniversary early as we are pretty sure we won't be able to get together for the exact day. We both looked super cute/handsome! And I got to wear my new earrings that I love!!! So our cute selves went to Ruth's Chris Steak House, where my co-workers had so kindly given us a gift certificate. It was soooooooooooooooooo delicious and the service was phenominal! Plus they have a great summer deal for two people which includes appetizers for both, entreés for both, shared sides (veggies) and shared dessert. Our meals were just superb! There was one appetizer we both wanted to try that wasn't an option so we splurged, mushroom caps stuffed with crabmeat. YUM! But, back to the options we picked from the 'Summer Celebrations' menu :). We both started off with the best Ceasar salad. Then for our main dish I had the petit filet and David had the Mixed grill which constisted of a 4oz filet, chicken stuffed with the yummiest cheese concoction and a crab cake. Both sooooo yummy! Plus the meat is cooked in a special broiler that goes up to 1800 degrees and then is served with butter on top on a 500 degree plate. That sizzle and smell is just divine! Then for our sides we shared the garlic mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. Both fantastic! We could only eat half of what was given to us so we brought it home. Then for dessert both our waiters strongly suggested the bread pudding so we shared that and WOW! it was just perfect! Plus with David's coffee went down beautifully! By the end of the meal it was 10pm and we were ready to be rolled out. [By now your mouths may be watering and let me tell you if that Summer Celebration deal is going on near you it is soooooooo worth the extra treat to yourself!] On our way home we drove by the beach and there was the most fantastic lighting storm over the ocean. We parked the car by the sea wall and just had a nice time relaxing with the windows open staring at God's amazing creation. Then it was back home where I went straight to sleep and David read (but of course Hunky Dumplin is sleeping way in this morning, lucky duck!)

So that is about it from us. Hopefully the rest of the week will consist of seeing a movie, going to the beach, swimming at the pool, relaxing, more cooking 'lessons', electronic funness on David's part, and just enjoying each others company. Let us know if you will be joining us soon! :)

xoxoxoxo,

Victoria and David
