Gen. Petraeus in Washington, D.C.

General Petraeus is getting hammered as he testifies before Congress today. In order to brighten up his day, if you click on the picture of the card, you can go and sign a thank you card for Gen. Patraeus. He's doing such a great job over in Iraq, I really think he deserves our thanks. I mean, he deserves it simply for putting up with questions from Sen. Kennedy, but also for his hard work in Iraq. Davy's safer in Qatar because of him, which says enough for me. Go here if you'd like to read more about his testimony.

Fun Stuff...

Just scroll through the pics to see my Binx (the black kitty), my Puss In Boots (the orange tabby, affectionately called Boots), and my wonderful Lily (the big one). Aren't all my pets adorable?!?

The Market. ----- I hope I'm in Texas next one.

Just got a chance to look at the blog. The furniture market is finally over. Thank goodness. now I can try and keep up with you guys. 10 to 14 hr a day leaves nothing left. So thankful that Davo is ok and working hard ( makes the time go by faster ) Will be praying for Patrick. Dave sounds good on the phone. CFC will not be the same. Can't wait to see him this week end. The tickets were cheap and has him going to Chicago first ,and on the way back to DC . But we will take lots of pix, for everyone who can't be here. It was good to see Suzy this weekend. Though I really didn't get to spend any time with her. But it was so good to come home to a warm welcome and hot food.(Smile) I haven't figured out how to make the face. Anna had her party here and I missed it . I got home abt 6:30 . To a clean house and some really good food in my fridge. I made some huge, huge arrangements this market. And could have made more if i was 2 more people. I even was on a ladder. Woe is me.!! They were humongous. I used jewel tone colors mostly, The furniture seemed to be just the usual stuff. the colors of the fabrics where deep reds and greens and purples. The traditional Spring colors , didn't see much Only some cream with green. Walls were painted in warm oranges, greens, and sand. There was some yellow but not much. Coffee tables turning in to tables that came forward like trays for laptops and food trays. kinda neat but ugly. The best part was watching the people. Ooh la la were they dressed to the nines on Sun. Beautiful scarves. I don't know, but if the market is any indication of the recession. They are gearing up for a great season. Hope they are right!!well I love you guys. am getting tired. Going to go be a couch poatoe for a bit. Play with my dog, and go to bed. Thank God you are safe Davo. That was great news. Write a bit when you get a break

Everything is alright

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a fantastic weekend. Just a quick update that I honestly don't know more then what I am telling you right now. David has been swamped with work lately due to two seperate incidents. The first deals with the article posted below and he assured me no one died. Everything is alright and the news should have never even known about this. The second incident I have no idea what it is about, but I do know that he has been crazy busy trying to figure out problems and repair many different things in his shop. They have had him working time and a half everyday. So just wanted you all to know that in all he and the other airmen on his base are ok, but he is super tired.

B-1 Explodes on Landing in Qatar
Friday, April 4, 2008 1:24 PM
DUBAI -- A U.S. B-1 bomber exploded while landing in a Qatari air base due to a technical fault on Friday, Qatar-based Al Jazeera television reported.
A military official says that details are sketchy but initial reports are that the bomber crashed in the nation of Qatar at al-Udeid Air Base, the headquarters of all American air operations in the Middle East. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because the reports are preliminary.
There was no information on casualties.

On another note he received Anna's package and absolutely LOVED it! You can definately tell how much it meant to him. He loves the movies, silly putty and beef jerky :), and so do his friends over there. Not sure if there is anything else in there, but those were the things mentioned. Anyways hope the jewelry party was an absolute smash and that everyone had lots of fun this weekend! xoxoxo

BIG PRAYERS NEEDED PLEASE!

Hello everyone! Before I start let me say again: Ooh la la Mr. Harvey! You make a very handsome cowboy!

Anyways this message is from Davy and myself. As some of you may know Davy has wanted to leave Shaw AFB. He figured out a 'loop hole' that if he pays for his move and his base is over maned and the other base is under maned that he has the possibility of being moved without having to re-enlist, that is if his commander even initially approves it. Btw his superiors hadn't ever heard of this so Davy is teaching everyone something ;).Well when Suzy was visiting Davy decided to submit the paperwork to be moved to Patrick AFB on the east coast of Florida even though every time he had looked it up they had been overly over maned. Well right after he submitted his paperwork he looked up the maning rate at Patrick and they are only 50% maned (which NEVER happens because it is such a prime location) and Shaw is 200+% over maned! So needless to say the two of got very excited that there may be a shread of chance to be 2 hours apart! Things happened at Shaw and his commander was gone so we were both worried that his request was overlooked or canceled, but come to find out that one of Davy's shop mates emailed him saying how lucky he was because she wanted to go to Patrick. Anyways we know that this is being worked on and Davy spoke with the commander's assistant who said she was working on it personally. So he asked, and I second this request, that everyone add to their prayers that Davy would have the opportunity to move. Plus this base is mostly maned with high ranking officials and is near some great schools so needless to say besides our 'selfish' reason of wanted to be nearer on anther, it could really bring Davy some amazing opportunities!

Lots of love! Vic and Davy

a young cowboy

I am sure that everybody is thinking the same thing. anyway back to the real world . we had a bad hail storm here last night at the dealership lots of dents. I didnt get any at home. It's Official!

Here's the photo that will accompany the official welcome to Dad as the new Executive Director of Cowboys For Christ that is coming out in the next Christian Ranchman.

Is it just me, or has Texas rubbed a little more "cowboy" into him?

Congratulations, Dad!!
