Anyway, Saint Louis University is, of course, in St Louis, MO. (on the Missouri side--there is an Illinois side too). It is a private, Jesuit (?) university. I will have to go twice, after certain classes, for my advisor to assess my clinical/assessment skills.
When I went for Erika's (my patient that went to Wake and graduated on time after an 8 week stay in the ICU and months of rehab for an unknown illness, anyway) wedding, St Louis seemed like a really neat town (as long as you don't get sick and end up in a dumpy ER on the Illinois side!) So I am looking forward to visiting, though it won't be anytime soon.
This semester, they are registering me for "Case Management" and "Research". Oh my, those sound like they include a LARGE amount of dry reading! And probably some paper writing! I'm not sure I remember how to write a paper, no less a NURSING paper! So you can see how I can be excited/scarred/worried......all at the same time.
I start August 22. So I'll see you guys around Christmas!!!
Homework for the Fam: What is a Billiken? Why do you care?
(It's a neat story and it should be obvious why you would care!) (use the link!)
